Therapy

At Family Psych Matters, our mission is to help children and families build stronger connections, overcome challenges, and create environments where young people can truly thrive. Our psychologist, Hollie, specialises in supporting children and adolescents, using a warm and nurturing approach to foster emotional wellbeing, positive behaviour, and healthy development.

With over ten years of experience, Hollie has created a safe and welcoming space for children experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural difficulties, as well as those managing common challenges such as anxiety, low confidence, friendship difficulties, or school-related stress. Her work is grounded in attachment theory, trauma-informed practice, and a deep understanding of child and adolescent development.

While Hollie’s focus is on young people, she also works closely with parents and families, supporting everyday parenting needs and family communication, as well as more complex situations such as separation, divorce, co-parenting challenges, or family conflict. This ensures continuity of care and a holistic approach that supports not just the child, but the whole family system.

At Family Psych Matters, therapy is delivered in a compassionate, judgment-free environment where children feel safe to share, and families feel heard and supported. Our goal is to help families navigate difficult times, strengthen relationships, and build the resilience and skills needed for children to feel secure, confident, and ready to face life’s challenges.

We believe that every child and family has the capacity for growth, healing, and stronger connections. At Family Psych Matters, we are committed to walking alongside you, whether that means supporting children through developmental milestones, helping families navigate everyday challenges, addressing concerns like anxiety or school pressures, working through the impacts of divorce, separation, or co-parenting, or building stronger parent–child relationships.

Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing space where children feel secure, families feel supported, and together they can develop the skills and resilience needed to thrive now and into the future.
